Berlin Middle-High School is celebrating its 18th Annual Fall Festival at the school on Saturday, October 16, from 10 am to 3 pm, topped off with a Family Dance from 7:30 to 10 pm which the whole community is welcome to attend. The inter-generational dance will feature a DJ with music from different eras – so everyone will hear his or her favorite songs.
Dianne Mosher, the Family and Consumer Science teacher plus advisor for many student groups, said, “This Fall Festival offers fun for all ages and tasty treats ranging from homemade pies cooked by sixth-graders to chili and hot dogs prepared by the Family Career and Community Leaders of America Youth organization (FCCLA).”
The fun includes a Coffee Can Auction presented by the seventh grade, games with great prizes sponsored by eighth-graders along with Putt Putt Golf and a Ring Toss game offered by the eleventh-graders.
Ninth grade students will be selling craft projects along with local crafter vendors, and a flea market table will be filled with donated goodies, baked goods, plant cuttings and surprises; so there will be a great variety for fun buys and early Christmas shopping.
The senior class is featuring pumpkins and mums for sale, and, good sports that they are, the cheerleaders will give everyone a chance to Pie a Cheerleader.
Also perfect for the Halloween season is the Haunted House that the tenth grade is putting together.
This festival is a key fund raiser for each class so community support is greatly appreciated.
Berlin’s students, faculty and staff cordially invite everyone to come and enjoy this special event amid the beautiful autumn colors of this mountain community.
There is no charge to come to Fall Fest and admission to the dance costs just $3 per person with a maximum of $10 per family. Refreshments are free!
Don’t miss this day of fun and memory making. Bring your mom, grampa and the neighbors.
