Hoosick Planning Board Action – September 2010

Brian Boll was the first to appear before the Town of Hoosick Planning Board on Monday evening, September 20. He wants to make a borderline change to his property on Bayer Rd. His request may require subdivision revisions and may affect deed restrictions. He will file an application for the change and appear before the Board next month.
Tim and Betty Colaneri of West Hoosick Rd. County Route 103 in Buskirk approached the Board about dividing their 15 acre property into two lots, one of 10 acres on which they would like to build a small house and the other of five, which contains a large house. Since they originally bought the property from Stonybrook Land, which had designated the property a four lot minor subdivision, the couple will have to file a new application and appear again before the Board when the Board will have all the previous plans available.
Jennifer Thuermer, who has a horse farm on Ball St. ext., County Route 101, wants to divide 93 acres into six total lots, five building lots and one lot to remain as is. There will be at least three houses built on the lots and they will have to build a private road and form a road association. Once again, the Board will have to review how the property was divided previously. She also will have to file a new application and appear before the Board again next month.
The Board reviewed a Zoning Board special permit request by Greg Stratton of Pine Valley Rd. to have a small meat cutting shop on his property. The Board had no objections to the project. A public hearing on the shop will be held by the Zoning Board on October 1.
Planning Board attorney Dennis King said the completed package sent to the County regarding the Subway Shop in the former car wash on Route 7 next to the Sunoco station operated by Sheila Duncan had been returned without comment. All that is needed for the project to go on is an environmental review. Duncan did not appear at the meeting.
