Rensselaer County Emergency Services Memorial Ceremony

October 1, 2010 By eastwickpress

Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen M. Jimino will join with community leaders and other locally elected officials at a memorial service to honor the men and women of emergency services who have passed away in the last year. The service will begin at 3 pm on Sunday, October 3.  The event will take place at the Maureen Stapleton Theater located on the Hudson Valley Community College campus in Troy.  Family members of those being honored and members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend.
“Each and every day members of the emergency services put themselves in harm’s way to ensure the safety of all those who live, work and visit Rensselaer County. We are truly fortunate to be able to count on their dedication, compassion and commitment,” said Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen M. Jimino.
The Emergency Services Ceremony is sponsored by the Rensselaer County Ambulance and Rescue Association, the Rensselaer County Fire Chiefs Association, the Rensselaer County Law Enforcement Association and the Rensselaer County Bureau of Public Safety, with the assistance of Hudson Valley Community College.
