Driving While Texting Demonstration At HFCS

Prior to the Homecoming bonfire on Thursday, October 21, the Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition conducted a “Driving while Texting” demonstration at Hoosick Falls Central School. Students used golf carts to navigate a cone-lined course while texting on their cell phones. The idea was to show how texting can be distracting to drivers.
Assisting with the demonstration project were members of the HFCS Youth Summit Team and the HAYC3 Youth Impact Team. The Hoosick Falls Central School Buildings & Grounds staff was also instrumental in making the demonstration run smoothly. Golf carts were provided by Satch Golf Carts of Mechanicville, NY.
