Gingerbread Competition At The Cheney Library

Get ready for the first Gingerbread Competition at Cheney Library in Hoosick Falls. In this free gingerbread competition you may have a building from a favorite picture book or you may want to build a representation of a building in the Hoosick Falls area. Competitors are welcome to design unique buildings.
All structures need to be made of edible materials except for the base which can be sturdy plywood. The edible materials are not limited to sweets. Size must be no more than 18 inches long by 18 inches wide by 18 inches high.
Prizes will be awarded. Entries will be judged according to Overall appearance, Originality/Creativity, Difficulty and Precision. There will be categories from child through adult, so each entry will be judged fairly.
Please come to Cheney Library to pick up your entry form the week of November 29. The entries need to be brought to Cheney Library on December 6 by 8 pm. Entries will be bid on silently between December 7 – 13 during Library hours.
The Gingerbread Competition will be a fun event for the holiday season.
