HAYC3 Coalition Advisory Committee To Meet

November 5, 2010 By eastwickpress

The Coalition Advisory Committee of the Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) will meet on Tuesday, November 9, at 7:30 am at the Falls Diner on River Road (Route 22) in Hoosick Falls. Meetings are open to the public and usually last about one hour.
The Coalition Advisory Committee meets monthly to discuss initiatives and strategies to assist youth in the community in making safe and healthy choices. The committee makes recommendations to the HAYC3 Board of Directors. Members of the Coalition Advisory Committee represent all twelve sectors of the community that are essential to providing a positive environment for youth. The sectors include youth, parents, schools, law enforcement, media, local government, local business, the faith community, youth-serving organizations, civic organizations, health care professionals and other organizations that deal with reducing substance abuse. It is essential that each group is represented and has a voice in formulating coalition strategies.
Please join us if you are interested in being a part of this grassroots effort to support local youth. For information, call 518-686-9050 or visit www.hoosickyouth.org.
