All of these events are free and will take place at the Library, which is located at 550 State Route 20.
• Tuesday, November 30 – Poetry Group – 6 pm. Poets and aspiring poets are invited to come and share their work.
• Wednesdays, December 1, 8, 15, 22 and 28 – Tales for Tots Story Hour – 11 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
• Thursdays, December 2, 9, 16 and 23 – Hug-A-Bye Babies – noon, age appropriate stories, songs and movement activities for our youngest patrons and their parents.
• Friday, December 3 – Coffeehouse Night – 6 pm, features the music of singer/songwriter Linda Worster. Light refreshments will be served.
• Sunday, December 5 – New Lebanon Book Group – 11 am. The book to be discussed is Tinkers by Paul Harding. Newcomers are welcome.
• Tuesday, December 7 – Wow Wii! Gaming for Kids – 3 pm, Rock Band 2, Beatles Rock Band, Wii Sports and more games for kids aged 8 to 13.
• Friday, December 10 – Holly Jolly Holiday – 6:30 pm, songs and stories of the season with musical storytellers Tales ’n Tunes.
• Thursday, December 16 – Family Crafts Night – 6 pm, cinnamon clay dough ornaments for ages 5 and up, although younger siblings are welcome.
• Friday, December 17 – Holiday Movie Night – 6:30 pm, Showing a current holiday film suitable for the whole family with a visit from Santa. Call 518-794-8844 for title. Snacks will be provided.
• Saturday, December 18 – Paws-to-Read – 9 am. Therapy dogs come to the Library and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen! Please call 518-794-8844 to register.
• Wednesday, December 22 – Community Cookie Swap – noon. Bring four dozen cookies, a large container and a copy of your recipe and stock up on Christmas cookies.
• Monday, December 27 – Poetry Group – 6 pm. Poets and aspiring poets are invited to come and share their work.
• Tuesday, December 28 – Afternoon Movie for Kids – 1 pm. Come enjoy a free showing of a current film suitable for the whole family. Call for title. Popcorn will be provided.
• Thursday, December 30 – Bingo for Kids – 1:30 pm, prizes, fun and treats for kids aged 5-12.
