• Friday, November 5 – Birds For Books at 2 pm. Schuyler and Colby Gail from the Bar None Ranch discuss farming, chickens and locally produced food.
• Friday, November 5 – Coffeehouse Night at 6 pm will feature the music of singer/songwriter Linda Worster. Light refreshments will be served.
• Sunday, November 7 – the New Lebanon Book Group will meet at 11 am to discuss Both Ways is the Only Way I Want It by Maile Meloy. This book of short stories was chosen one of the 10 Best Books of 2009 by The New York Times Book Review.
• Wednesday, November 10 – Nonviolent Communications at 7 pm. An evening of viewing the film The Basics of Nonviolent Communication and participating in exercises facilitated by Arti Ross Kelso, LMT, practitioner and instructor of NVC, mediator, and wellness coach.
• Wednesdays, November 17 and 24 and December 1 – Tales for Tots Story Hour – 11 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
• Thursdays, November 18, Dec. 2 – Hug-A-Bye Babies – noon. Age appropriate stories, songs and movement activities for our youngest patrons and their parents.
• Friday, November 12 – Family Movie Night – 6:30 to 8:30 pm – showing a current film suitable for the whole family. Call 518-794-8844 for title. Popcorn will be provided.
• Thursday, November 18 – Family Crafts Night – 6 pm – make festive gourd turkeys for your Thanksgiving table – for ages 5 and up although younger siblings are welcome.
• Friday, November 19 – Preschool Pajama Party – 6 pm. Preschoolers can wear their PJs and bring their blankies to hear a story and a watch a movie selected just for them! Bedtime snacks will be provided. Older siblings are welcome, too.
• Saturday, November 20 – Paws-to-Read – 9 am. Therapy dogs come to the Library and children read to their furry friends, and, of course, the dogs listen! Please call 518-794-8844 to register.
• Saturday, November 20 – chess Instruction for kids – 10 am. Players at all levels are welcome.
• Tuesday, November 30 – Poetry Group – 6 pm. Poets and aspiring poets are invited to come and share their work.
