Popular Local Band To Play At The Bridgeway

November 12, 2010 By eastwickpress

submitted by Sue Greenberg
The Hill Hollow Band will be playing Saturday, November 13, from 8 to midnight at The Bridgeway Restaurant, 17 Cherry Plain Square in Cherry Plain.  This will be an enjoyable evening for families and friends who are looking for a night out on the town. The Bridgeway Restaurant has a beautiful banquet room to accommodate a large crowd. It’s well lighted, clean and has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a meal and live music. The Bridgeway Restaurant cordially offers an all you can eat Buffet Dinner along with entertainment for $10 per person. The buffet begins at 7 pm and will include wings, pizza, vegetable platter, beef stroganoff with noodles and salad.
If you are coming out just to hear the band, there is a $5 cover charge.  However, the kitchen is open until 10 pm, and you can grab a bite to eat from the menu. For further information, please call 658-2525.
The Hill Hollow Band can aptly be described as a self  contained music festival. Each gig is a rambling, fun event with musical influences that span a century. While respectful of their musical heritage, the band’s direction never wavers in one respect – they always play and sing tunes as they feel them at that moment, letting the spirit of the music lead them forward. Their variety of train songs, blues, bluegrass and folk tunes makes for an adventurous live performance.
