The Grafton Book Group To Discuss Dog As Narrator

November 5, 2010 By eastwickpress

The book discussion group of the Grafton Community Library will be reading  The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein for November. This is a  heart-wrenching but deeply funny and ultimately uplifting story of family, love, loyalty and hope.  The Art of Racing in the Rain is a beautifully crafted and captivating look at the wonders and absurdities of human life as only a dog could tell it.
Garth  Stein is the author of two novels,  How Evan Broke his Head and Other Secrets and Raven Stole the Moon and a play, Brother Jones. He has also worked as a documentary filmmaker. He lives in Seattle with his family.
The group will meet at 12:30 on Wednesday, November 17, at the Library. Copies of the book are available at the Library. Any one is welcome to join the group. Prior registration is not required. For more information, contact the Library at 279-0580.
