The sights, the sounds and the smells of Christmas will fill the air at the Candy Cane Lane Holiday Shopping Fair to be held at Berlin High School on Friday, December 10. The public is cordially welcomed.
“Craft vendors will offer a variety of products ideal for gift giving from 3 to 8 pm,” said Dianne Mosher, Berlin CSD’s Family Consumer Science Teacher. “At 4 pm parents can drop their children off for a free story time featuring ‘The Polar Christmas’ while they shop. At 5 pm Berlin’s Christmas Brass, comprised of students and community members, will delight visitors with songs of the season. Then at 7 pm the Berlin Middle and High School choruses will perform, leading to an invitation to the public to join in a community carol sing.
Other features of the fair, according to Mosher, include the Berlin CSD Seniors’ gift wrapping station and a food concession stand which will offer homemade chili and other tasty dishes. Berlin CSD’s Catering Class will also sell special food treats to benefit the Jeans for Teens Project.
“Don’t miss this chance to purchase unique gifts from local crafts people,” Mosher said, “and to share the joys of the season with the Berlin Central School community.”
