Cynthia Tilley

Hoosick Falls – Cynthia Tilley. 53, passed away on Friday. December 17, 2010, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. She had resided on Railroad Avenue in Hoosick Falls, NY.
Born on August 7, 1957, in Bennington, VT, Cynthia was the daughter of Ann (Mulready) Decker of North Bennington, VT, and the late Francis Tilley. She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School and had been employed as a Registered Nurse at S.W.V.M.C, Crescent Manor Nursing Home and Bennington Health & Rehab, all in Bennington, VT. Cynthia was last employed at United Health Care in Troy, NY. She was a member of the Lions Club in Bennington and the Brunswick Presbyterian Church, in Brunswick, NY. Cynthia enjoyed shopping and crafts. She especially enjoyed the holiday season making and sharing her crafts with family.
Survivors include two sisters, Teresa Sweet and her husband David of Bennington and Sheri Ruschmyer and her husband Cliff of Wynantskill, NY, and five brothers, Francis Tilley of Hoosick Falls, Mark Tilley and his wife Heidi of Woodford, VT, Duane Tilley and his wife Donna of Niverville, NY, Gerald Elliot and his wife Rebecca and David Tilley, all of Bennington. Cynthia is also survived by eleven nephews, ten nieces, two great-nephews and two great-nieces.
Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090, on Tuesday, December 21, from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services were held at the Brunswick Presbyterian Church in Brunswick, on Wednesday, December 22, at 10 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
