In November, Hoosick Falls Central School elementary FOR (Friends of Rachel) students created over 300 red, white and blue ribbons to honor Veterans. Sponsored by the school's Character Education program, the students in grades three to six sold the ribbons for 50 cents each. They earmarked the money for the Veterans Wall in Wood Park. On Friday, December 17, they presented Wall Co-Chairman Marilyn Douglas with a check for $163. Douglas thanked the students and commended them for their thoughtfulness and their efforts.
