Ronald. C. Brahan

December 10, 2010 By eastwickpress

Hoosick Falls – Ronald. C. Brahan of Hoosick Falls, NY, age 62, passed away at his residence after a long valiant battle with cancer.
Born in Hoosick Falls on July 9, 1948, he was the son of Mary Casey (Brahan) and the late Charles Edward Brahan and his step-father, the late James Casey. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Debbie (Perrier), his two daughters, Autumn Okerman and husband Jeff and Amy Brahan, his step-son, Tom Rondeau and his wife Sara, his three sisters, Teresa Lassor and Bruce Stroffoleno, Maureen Wilt and JoAnn Brahan and Neil Cooney, his step-sister, Mary Jane Wilkie, his step-brothers, Sean Casey, Dennis Casey and wife Margaret, David Casey and wife Doris, eight grandchildren, Brett, Ryan, Hannah, Jacob, Helen, Tyler, Austin and Angell, and several nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was employed at Albany Public Market in Troy, NY, for 14 years as a meat cutter. He then worked at the former Allied-Signal-Fluorglas in Hoosick Falls for several years, drove a taxi and bartended at T-Bones.
He enjoyed the companionship of his devoted wife Debbie and baby dog “Bandit.” He was an avid Yankee fan and loved betting on the ponies. Ronnie loved shooting darts, playing ping pong and playing cards, but only if he won, and visiting with his faithful long-time friends who always found time to stop and have a “toddy” or two.
A Memorial Service was held at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, on Wednesday, December 8, at 6 pm. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home from 4 pm until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Karen McGovern Fund through the funeral home.
