Timothy L. Blanchard

Grafton – Timothy L. Blanchard, 66, of Shaver Pond Road, Grafton, NY, died on Friday, December 10, 2010, at home surrounded by his loving family under the care of Community Hospice of Rensselaer County.
Born in Troy, NY, on April 18, 1944, he was the son of Leon and Loretta Rondeau Blanchard. He was the loving husband of the former Lois Denton, whom he married on February 27, 1965, in Troy.
A 1961 graduate of Troy High School, Tim served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He had been a resident of Grafton for the past 36 years. He was employed as a computer repairman. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. His favorite pastime was tanning buckskin the Native American Way, making clothing and accessories.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Lois, his son, Kurt Blanchard of Grafton, his daughter and son-in-law,  Kristi and Randy Jordan, and his grandchildren, Kristina and Randi, all of Damascus, PA, a brother, Phil Blanchard of Melrose, NY, his sisters, Gail Christiansen of Troy, Mary Crowley of Watervliet, NY, Elaine and husband Don Christiansen of Melrose, Betty Rehm of Whitehall, NY, and his sisters-in-law, Joan and husband Richard Bielawa of Sequim, WA, and Phyllis and husband John Kattwinkel of Charlottesville, VA, along with ten nieces and fourteen nephews.
Services will be private. To remember Tim in a special way, his family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Native American Institute of the Hudson Valley, P.O. Box 327, Sand Lake, NY, 12153.
Arrangements are under the guidance of the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home of Petersburgh, NY.
