Adult Volunteers Needed For Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Program

January 20, 2011 By eastwickpress

In today’s fast paced world you may think you are too busy to be a volunteer. Or maybe you don’t think you can be a Girl Scout volunteer because you don’t know a girl in the program. Anyone over the age of 18 with enthusiasm and skills can volunteer – parents, grandparents, guardians, former scouts, teachers, college students, retirees, professionals, community members, church members, neighbors.
If you are one of these people and you have particular skills to offer, Girl Scouting may be the perfect place for you. Whether you choose to work directly or indirectly with girls on a short or long term basis, you will be making a difference in their lives.
The Hoosick Falls scouting program needs adults who have strong computer skills or enjoy working with other adults to assist with girl membership and volunteer engagement or have excellent writing skills to help with grant writing or like to plan fund raisers and special programs.
Why not join our diverse group of women and men whose expertise, skills, interests and life experiences add value to our scouting program and to their own lives every day.
If you’re interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities with the local Girl Scouts, please send an email to GirlScoutsHoosick@gmail.com or contact Joyce Brewer, Service Unit Manager, at 518-686-4942.
