Bowl For Hoosick Kids Held At Barbecue Recreation

January 28, 2011 By eastwickpress

The Seventh Annual Bowl for Hoosick Kids event was held Saturday, January 15, at Barbecue Recreation on Route 22 in Hoosick Falls. Two waves of teams participated in the event, bringing in over $3,000 in pledges. Proceeds support programs for youth and families provided by the Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3).
The event was generously hosted by the Fitzsimmons Family at Barbecue Recreation.

Hoosick Falls Mayor Matt Monahan was among the bowlers who enjoyed the afternoon event.

Team sponsors include DePaula Chevrolet-Hummer, Hannaford and Thorpe’s Pharmacy. HAYC3 Board Members Laura Reynolds, Mike Baker, Patty Ryan, Katie Bradley, Margaret Restino and Evan Phillips organized teams, and the Youth Impact and Youth Summit Teams collected pledges and participated.
Prizes were awarded for the most pledges collected by an individual (Rachel Jones), the team with highest average of pledges per bowler (Katie Bradley) and the youth basketball team that raised the most pledges (Team Kempf and Team Baker tied). The HAYC3 Board and staff greatly appreciate the community’s support of this event.

Two teams of bowlers were sponsored by Hannaford Supermarket of Bennington.
