Hoosick Falls Basketball Wins Every Title At The Hoosier Holiday Basketball Tournament

The winter break from school once again brought the Hoosier Holiday Classic Basketball tournament to Hoosick Falls Central School.  All four of the Panther teams claimed tournament championships. The girls teams topped Argyle, Berlin and Adirondack High School to claim the title while the boys teams topped Berlin, Waterford and Watervliet.  The girls varsity won their first game over Berlin 49-17. Frankie Pearson scored 16 points and Nicole Marmillo netted 10 points. In the championship game the Lady Panthers topped Argyle 47-30 behind Marmillo’s 27 points. The boys varsity team also cruised over Berlin, 92-29. The leading scorer was Matt Gormley with 18 points, followed by John Hayden with 12 points. Randy Tutunjian and Quinn Rasmus added 11 points.
In a rematch of last year’s championship game, the Panthers once again defeated Watervliet, this time 62-49.  Alex Lilac scored 18 points, and Rasmus scored 17, taking the Tournament MVP honors.  Sean Dingman added 14 points for Hoosick Falls.
