Jane Allyn Reyman

Buskirk – Jane Allyn Reyman, 80, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. She had resided in Buskirk, NY, with her husband Louis Reyman and their dog Misty.
Born on July 9, 1930, in Toronto, Canada, Jane was the daughter of the late John and Vivian (Marsh) Farrell. She was educated at schools in Peekskill, NY, Staten Island, NY, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Her employment included time as an accountant for the Federal Reserve Bank in NYC and as a public relations representative for MacFarlane Communications in Manitoba. Jane was a Library Assistant in Winnipeg and in Scotland and volunteered at the Library in Cambridge, NY. She also worked for the Hatchet Lake Lodge in Saskatchewan.
Jane lived in the United States, Canada, England and Scotland throughout her life. She enjoyed many things – some include bird watching, painting, reading, doing puzzles, animals, gardening, cooking and giving her time to others. Jane assisted her husbands, Hugh and Louis, with writing their books and claims fame in publishing her own book When Bear Came To Our House.
Survivors, other than her husband Louis, include her children, Lisa Dias, Jeffrey Krause, Janis Abbott, Ian Ross, Jennifer Husbands, Dorothy Hollins, Barbara Fletcher, Rufina Reyman, Patricia Gangloff, Jacqueline Reyman and Dorothy Marcoux, a sister, Joan Kaufman, and brothers, Richard Farrell, John Farrell, Douglas Farrell and Gren Marsh, as well as thirty-three grandchildren, ten great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. Jane’s survivors live in England, Canada and the United States. Jane is pre-deceased by her first two husbands, Henry Krause and Hugh Ross.
Family and friends attended the Rite of Christian Burial at St. Patrick‘s Catholic Church in Cambridge, NY, on Monday, January 10, at 10 am. Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, on Sunday, January 9, from 2 to 6 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Cambridge Library, Southwestern Vermont Medical Center or the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the funeral home.
