January Events At The New Lebanon Library

All of these events are free and will take place at the Library which is located at 550 State Route 20.
January 5, 12, 19 and 26 (Wednesdays) – Tales for Tots Story Hour – 11 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
January 6, 13, 20 and 27 (Thursdays) – Hug-A-Bye Babies – noon; age appropriate stories, songs and movement activities for our youngest patrons and their parents.
January 9 – New Lebanon Book Group – 11 am. The book to be discussed is Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier. Newcomers are welcome
January 11 – Wow Wii! Gaming for Kids – 3 pm; Rock Band 2, Beatles Rock Band, Wii Sports and more for kids aged 8 to 13.
January 14 – Coffeehouse Night – 6 pm – features the music of singer/songwriter Linda Worster. Light refreshments will be served.
January 20 – Family Crafts Night – 6 pm; whipped snow snowmen for ages 5 and up, although younger siblings are welcome.
January 21 – Family Movie Night – 6:30 pm; showing of a current film suitable for the whole family. Call 518-794-8844 for title. Snacks will be provided.
January 22 – Paws-to-Read – 9 am. Therapy dogs come to the Library and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen! Please call 518-794-8844 to register.
January 27 – Author Rebecca McBride – 7 pm – reading and signing her book, Traveling Between the Lines: Europe in 1938; includes slide show of the book’s photographs and documents as well as several items from the trip.
January 28 – Preschool Pajama Party – 6 pm featuring a story and short movie for preschoolers; older children also welcome. Wear your PJs, bring your blankie. Snacks will be provided.
January 31 – Poetry Group – 6 pm. Poets and aspiring poets are invited to come and share their work.
