Panther Bowlers Blank Granville

January 7, 2011 By eastwickpress

On Wednesday, January 5, the Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Granville by the score of 4-0.  The total pin count was 3,652 for Hoosick Falls and 2,841 for Granville.  Hoosick Falls now has a record of 27-1 and Granville is now 18-18.
Granville was led by Russell Martelle with a 191-555.  Hoosick Falls had the following varsity scores –  Mitch Andrew 234-669, Bryan Callahan 233-651, Joe Wolfrum 221-642, James Lynch 235-639, Cody LaFlamme 202-533 and Chris Pelletier 205-518.
The JV team had an outstanding day with a total of 3,577, which is the highest ever in the team’s thirteen year history.  Top scores for the JV team were  Josh Conn 237-641, Mikaela Marbot 214-627, Ken Marbot 231-625, Josh McCart 224-608 and Jordan Colvin 206-602.
“This was a great day for overall scores for the entire team.  That is the best JV team score ever.  They were bowling so well they didn’t want to be moved up to varsity because they wanted to keep bowling well on the lanes they were on.  The varsity team also bowled great and were very consistent with great games.  They had 13 out of a possible 18 games in the 200s.  We have a big away match on Thursday against Schuylerville, and I hope we can bowl there as well as we bowled today,”  said Coach Lang.
