Saint-Gobain Donates $2000 To HAYC3

January 7, 2011 By eastwickpress

The Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) is seeking support from the community to continue its programming for youth and families. Recently, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics made a generous donation of $2,000 to the annual appeal campaign.
Although HAYC3 received a large federal grant this year, those funds are restricted and cannot be used for recreation programs, after school activities or basic facility needs such as heat, electricity and maintenance. Community investments, like that made by Saint-Gobain, are needed to keep the Center operating at its current capacity.
Each year hundreds of children and teens utilize the Youth Center and its programs. No child is ever denied access because of an inability to pay, and many families rely on the Center for after school care and family support.
“In response to this annual appeal, please be as generous as your circumstances allow,” said HAYC3 Board President James Monahan in the recently-distributed annual appeal brochure. “The operation of the Youth Center for nearly six decades is due in large part to the kindness of members of the community who grew up visiting the center and participating in its programs. Let’s work together to keep that tradition alive for future generations.”
All donations are tax-deductible. All donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes. Donations can be mailed to HAYC3, P.O. Box 492, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090 or can be made online through PayPal at www.hoosickyouth.org.
