On February 11 the Berlin Central School District will hold its annual clothing/coat swap from 3 to 8 pm in the Berlin Middle/High School cafeteria, and the public is cordially invited.
As Melissa Putterman Hoffman, one of the swap’s organizers, explained, “All families, staff and community members in the Berlin Central School District are invited to donate clothing, and all families in the district are also invited to take whatever they need from the clothing collection.”
“We hope that everyone will check their closets and drawers, searching out clothes their kids have outgrown or that they don’t need anymore and bring them in,” said Dianne Mosher, another Berlin swap organizer. “We’re looking for gently-worn, clean clothing, and any clothes remaining after the swap will be sent to a City Mission in Albany so someone, somewhere will benefit,” Mosher said, adding, “People need not have something to swap to come in. They can just come look for some new, used stuff too.”
