Area residents have enjoyed hearing Carolyn Durnin sing and play guitar many times over the years. She draws the audience into her performance and wows them with her beautiful voice and wonderful guitar playing.
Last Friday evening at the Music & Art Café at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center she referred to herself as the “opening act” for her daughter Molly Durnin. Molly charmed the audience with a selection of original compositions. Like her mother, she is a gifted guitarist and has a beautiful singing voice. Unlike her mother, she writes all her own music. Though they never sang or played together, the two created a fantastic musical evening.
