Hoosick Planning Board Action – Quackenbush Resigns

At the Tuesday, February 22, meeting of the Town of Hoosick Planning Board Jim Dunigan announced that Town Supervisor Keith Cipperly had received a letter of resignation from Planning Board Chairman Everett Quackenbush effective immediately. Quackenbush is resigning for “personal reasons.” Dunigan will once again be Chairman. The Board approved the reappointment of Stanton King as Planning Board Attorney.
Barely A Quorum
Four members of the Board were present at this Tuesday meeting. The Board ordinarily meets on the third Monday of the month, unless, as this February, there is a holiday on that day. The minutes of the December meeting could not be approved because new Board Member Kevin Allard declined to vote as he had not attended the meeting. Four yeas were necessary to approve them. The minutes of both the January and February meeting will be up for approval in March.
LeBarron Road
Brian Rousseau approached the Board about dividing property his son has purchased on LeBarron Road. One parcel would be between three to four acres. The other parcel would be much larger. The plan appears to be a simple subdivision. The Board suggested that Rousseau review subdivision regulations regarding setbacks, etc. and fill out the necessary paperwork and come before them again.
Cottrell Road
Mark Cottrell appeared before the Board about subdividing two acres from a 28.6 acre parcel on the Cottrell farm for building a house. Cottrell has had the property surveyed and has the necessary application. He will be on the Board’s agenda for March.
Attorney King had a letter requesting a property line change, effective immediately. Since the request was not on the agenda and no application for the change had been submitted and no one appeared at the meeting regarding the change, the Board did not act on the request. Attorney King will contact the attorney, George Holbrook, regarding the requested change.
