Laura Bassallo will lead an open forum on How and Why to Homeschool on Monday, February 28, from 6 to 8 pm at the Grafton Community Library. She will address the benefits of homeschooling and review different philosophies behind why and also discuss curriculum choices, State requirements and sports alternatives associated with how. The program is for all parents and educators concerned and curious about education options for their kids at home and in their communities.
The evening will provide an opportunity for those in attendance to ask questions and hear, first hand, the experiences of a seasoned mom and homeschooler. Bassallo is the mother of five young children and is actively involved in the Grafton community.
There will be educational information on hand for participants, and refreshments will be served. The Library is located at 2455 NY Route 2 near the Town center.
