Tuesday: Today John F. went to Eldridge’s saw mill and drew on logs on the logway with my old horse, and carried boards from the mill. John F. and Patrick sawed a spell on the hill, then quit for the saw was dull. Today Geo P. went into Berkshire to bargain to sell apple trees.

This forenoon John F. and Patrick drew three loads timber and wood from the swamp, two loads with the old horses and one load with the young horses. This afternoon Geo P. returned from Berkshire county bargaining to sell apple trees and looking to buy oxen but not bought any.
