DAR Welcomes Two New Members

March 11, 2011 By eastwickpress

Jane Hayden of Cambridge and Joyce Morier of Hoosick Falls are the newest members of the Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The two women were given the oath of membership and welcomed into the chapter at a meeting presided over by Chapter Regent Carole Dilley, held at the Embury Methodist Church on March 4.
The Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter was founded in 1894 by Minerva Buck McKie and includes members primarily from Cambridge, Shushan, Buskirk and Hoosick Falls.  Eligibility is based on Revolutionary War  service of a direct ancestor.  Any woman who believes she is eligible and  would like to attend a meeting may call the Regent at 677-7095 or the Registrar at 677-3324.
