The gravesite of Stephen J. Gaj Jr., located in a corner of the Meadowlawn Cemetery in Petersburgh, appears to have been desecrated sometime this March. Gaj died on July 11, 1995 at the age of 17 due to injuries from a one car accident on Plank Road in Poestenkill. The gravesite of John Bedford, who died on June 8, 1995 at the age of 18, located next to the Gaj grave, was also disturbed. There were some beer bottles lying around and a bench was turned over.
