Don Bogardus Named Grand Marshal Of The 2011 Hoosick Falls St. Patrick’s Parade
The Former Mayor Of Hoosick Falls, Don Bogardus, has been named Grand Marshal of the 2011 Hoosick Falls St. Patrick’s Parade. Don’s Irish roots come from his great-grandmother who immigrated to the United States in the late 1800s. Don is a lifelong resident of Hoosick Falls and has always been one of the Village’s biggest boosters. Don is married to Ester. They have two children Terry (Loomis) Bogardus, Curtis Bogardus and the late Joseph Bogardus.
Don attended St. Mary’s Academy of Hoosick Falls and is an active member of the

Immaculate Conception Church. He is the Chairman of the American Legion Memorial Day Parade and has been a member of numerous local organizations.
Marie O’Neil, Parade Co-Chairperson, said, “Don was chosen as Grand Marshal because of his passion and commitment to his community. No one loves the Village of Hoosick Falls as much as Don.”
Don will lead the parade and be honored after the parade at the Hoosick Falls Armory.
The parade begins at 1 pm, and the Irish Festival begins at 2 pm on Saturday, March 12.
