Jeannette R. Liebenow

Stephentown – Jeannette R. Liebenow, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at her residence on Route 22 in Stephentown, NY. She was the wife of the late Charles Liebenow.
Born in Pittsfield, MA, Jeannette was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Merritt) Thomas. She was formerly employed at the Berlin High School as a janitor. Jeannette operated Taconic Valley Refuse with her husband. Later she worked at the Everett Wagar Senior Center where she was Senior Citizen of the Year in 2004. She enjoyed playing cards, NASCAR racing and spending time with her friend Charles Anderson of Louisiana.
Jeannette worked for the Eastwick Press from late 1998 to early 2001.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Liebenow and wife Melissa and Andrew Adams, all of Stephentown, her sister, Marion Adams, and her brother, Ralph Thomas, both of Stephentown, and her sister Hilda Willbrant of North Petersburgh, NY. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Thomas.
The family would like to thank Jeannette’s caregivers during this time, Patrick and Dwight Hurd and April Griswold.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 2, at 7 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 pm until the start of the service. Burial will be later in the spring at the Stephentown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home.
