Richard F. Bink

Sand Lake – Richard F. Bink, 73, of Schumann Road, Sand Lake, NY, died on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the Community Hospice at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany, NY, after a long illness. Born in Sand Lake, Dick was the son of the late Jacob H. and Irene Trumble Bink. Dick resided in Cherry Plain, NY, early in life and then lived with his aunt and uncle, the late Marshall and Mary Trumble, for many years. Dick served in the Army from 1961 to 1963 and served in Germany. Dick retired in 2006 from Hedley Cadillac – Oldsmobile in Troy, NY, where he was the Parts Manager for many years. He worked for the Hedley family for over 40 years. Dick was meticulous in the care he gave to his home, yard and automobiles.
Dick was the brother of the late Wayne and Jacob H. Bink Jr. Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Kenneth Bink of Palm Bay, FL, Phillip Bink of East Nassau, NY, Joyce and husband Fred Moses of Berlin, NY, Elvia and husband David Corlew of Stephentown, NY, Lillian and husband Lee Grandjean of Ballston Spa, NY, Donna Bink of Stuyvesant, NY, Lorraine and husband George Heath of Valatie, NY, and Melissa Bink of Slatersville, RI, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was on Monday, March 21, at 10 am at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel at Glass Lake, Averill Park, NY.
Relatives and friends were invited to call at the Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. Interment was in the Eagle Mills Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Richard F. Bink may be made to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY, 12144.
