Stephentown VFD Corned Beef Dinner Is A Big Hit

March 18, 2011 By eastwickpress

On Saturday March 12, the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department served over 300 corned beef dinners at their 13th annual event. With the help of Kilventon Fruit & Produce, Dave’s Market, the Eastwick Press, Jiminy Peak and volunteers from the Girl Scout Troop #1154, Boy Scout Troop #222 and Berlin High School students fulfilling their community service hours, the dinner was a great success.
SVFD members remarked how nice is was to have so many young people getting involved.
Upcoming SVFD events include Texas Hold’em on March 19 and March 26, and the Annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday April 16.
Anyone interested in donating homemade pies for the roast beef dinner is encouraged to contact any Department member or call the fire station at 733-5151 on Tuesday nights from 7 to 8:30 pm.
