A. Warren Church

New Lebanon – A. Warren Church, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 28, 2011, surrounded by his family.
Warren was a 1953 graduate of the New Lebanon High School where he excelled in sports. Upon graduation he served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. For 32 years, he was employed by the New Lebanon School District. He was a member of the LVPA and the American Legion Post #1236.
He was the son of the late Lloyd W. and Nettie B. Church and is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Frances Nopper Church. He is also survived by his children, son Lloyd W. Church of New Lebanon, NY, daughter and son-in-law Laurie J. and Wayne C. Strohaker of Brandon, FL, daughter and son-in-law Lisa J. and Matthew J. Carr of New Lebanon, five grandchildren, Lacie, Jacob and James Strohaker and Travis and Dallas Carr, a brother, Harold Church of New Lebanon, and two nieces.
Calling hours will be at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown, NY, on Saturday, April 2, from 1 to 3 pm. There will be a service immediately following. At the close of the service, family and friends are invited to the LVPA Fire House in New Lebanon to attend a celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Warren’s name to the Lebanon Valley Protective Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.
