Alice Gulley Turner

April 22, 2011 By eastwickpress

White Creek – Former Kissimmee, FL, and Barre, VT, resident Alice “Allie” Gulley Turner, 66, passed away on April 15, 2011, at her son’s residence in Laconia, NH, where she had been battling cancer for the past year. Alice was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice Gulley of White Creek, NY. She was born on June 28, 1944.
She was the mother of Kim and Jeff King of Overland Park, KS, and Kendall and Michelle Turner of Laconia and Grandma Mickey to Dakota, Dylan and Cassidy King and Nicole and Dustin Turner and Sam the Cat. She also leaves her brothers, William “Bud” and wife Gwen Gulley of Little Falls, NY, and Edward and wife Carol Gulley of White Creek, along with several nieces and nephews.
Alice loved to travel and spend time with her family. She combined these passions in January of this year when she took her children and grandchildren to Hawaii for the ninth time!
Graveside services were on Wednesday, April 20, at 1 pm at the Rosewood Cemetery on Gannon Road in White Creek. Friends were invited to join the family at the Jermain Hall on Niles Road in White Creek following the service. The dress code for the day was casual; Alice liked Hawaiian and Elvis inspired attire.
Condolences may be sent to either Kendall Turner at 1065 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH, 03104, or Kim King at 13020 Westgate Overland Park, KS, 66213. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY.
One more thing in honor of our mom. Go do something with your family this summer!
