Apply For The Ethel Simmons Memorial Award

High school seniors who live in the Town of Grafton are invited to apply for the Ethel Simmons Memorial Award. This award of $300 is awarded to the graduating senior who submits the winning essay on some aspect of Grafton history.  Public, private and home school students are eligible to apply. The award is sponsored jointly by the Grafton Community Library and the Grafton Historical Society in memory of Mrs. Simmons. She was a teacher in Grafton, Librarian, Sunday school teacher and 4-H leader with a great love of her community and its history.
Applications with complete requirements are available at the Library, Grafton Town Hall and school guidance offices or on line at http://www.graftoncommunitylibrary.org. Resources for research use are available both at the Library, 279-0580,  and from the Grafton Historical Society at historicgrafton@aol.com.
The deadline to submit entries is May 2, 2011 at the Grafton Library.
