April Events At Grafton Lakes State Park

April 13, Wednesday – Trail Advisory Committee Meeting at 7 pm at the Park Office. Help plan spring trail work days. The advisory committee includes equestrians, snowmobilers, hikers, mountain bikers and other Park users. Add your energy to the group.
April 16 Saturday – Earth Day Service Opportunity: Trail Work Day at Grafton Lakes State Park from 9 am to 12 pm; time for some spring cleaning. Email Mark Wehnau of the Trail Advisory Committee for more information at markwehnau@aol.com or call the Park at 279-1155. The group will meet at the Park Office with refreshments in the morning. The event may be rescheduled if trail conditions are challenging.
April 19, Tuesday – Spring Break Special: Treasure Hunt at 1 pm. Using map and compass, find the treasure hidden in the Park. The course requires adult participation, but kids five and older will enjoy this adventurous activity. the cost is $3 per participant. Please call 279-1155 to pre-register.
April 21, Thursday – Spring Break Special: Trout Discovery and Stocking Program at 1 pm.  We’ve been raising brown trout since October, and they’re ready to be released. Learn about how they survive in the Park’s waters and then you can help us to stock our 200 trout. The cost is $2 per participant or $5 per family. Please call 279-1155 to pre-register.
