The Cumberland Farms Store on Church Street in Hoosick Falls will be closing for renovations on Monday April 11. The changes to the store are expected to take at least a month.
According to its website, Cumberland Farms has been family owned and operated since its founding by Vasilios and Aphrodite Haseotes in 1939. The first store, established in Cumberland, RI, was New England’s first convenience store.

Evidently store renovations are happening across the Cumberland Farms footprint, according to public affairs representative Christine Grahm, who did not respond to further inquires by the Eastwick deadline time.
The website indicates the renovations will offer customers “a state-of-the-art shopping experience” with a Chill Zone for cold drinks, including a frosty shake machine, a special coffee bar section and freshly prepared foods. Stores in Stephentown, Warrensburg and Queensbury have already been upgraded.
