Rebecca M. Sherwin

Hoosick Falls – Rebecca M. Sherwin, 69, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. She was the wife of William Sherwin of Wood Park Lane in Hoosick Falls, NY.
Born on May 9, 1941, in Rutland, VT, Rebecca was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Mary (Ashley) Reed. She graduated from Rutland High School and the School of Nursing at the former Putman Hospital in Bennington. Rebecca worked at the now Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington as a nurse for twenty-seven years. She liked horses and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors, other than her husband William, include her children, Janet Jackson of Englewood, FL, Jeffery Sherwin of Hoosick Falls, Matt Sherwin of Bennington and Joe Sherwin of Falcon, CO, her sister, Roberta Reed-Rabin of Shrewsbury, VT, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by a brother, Ronald Reed.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mahar Funeral Home in Rebecca’s memory.
