The SVFD Served 364 Roast Beef Dinners

Stephentown Assistant Fire Chief and Roast Beef Dinner Chairman Donald Hoffman expressed thanks to everyone who came out to support the annual Roast Beef Dinner, including the members and their families who served 364 dinners this year. This event was made possible with help from Richard Beckwith and Hilltown Pork, David Kilventon and Kilventon Fruit & Produce, Chef Ian Lanier, Dave’s Market, volunteers from Girl Scout Troop #1154 and Boy Scout Troop #222 and all the folks who donated the delicious homemade pies. It is great to live in a community where people come together to support each other. Thank you!
During the dinner, the SVFD was dispatched on an EMS call, and then two additional calls later that evening. Anyone interested in joining the SVFD is encouraged to stop by the station or fire hall Tuesday nights from 7 to 8:30 pm.
