Antique Appraisal Day In Poestenkill

May 13, 2011 By eastwickpress

The Poestenkill Historical Society will sponsor an Antique Appraisal Day in the Poestenkill Fire House on Saturday, May 14, from 10 am to 2 pm. Appraisers will be Mark Lawson, WMHT Antiques Road Show sponsor, Nancy Toomer of House of Rose Antiques in Niskayuna and Dennis Holzman of Holzman Antiques in Albany. They will be appraising jewelry, watches, coins, currency and oriental rugs. They will also appraise any glassware, china, table linens and silver you might have. Don’t forget the rare books, maps, prints, paintings and furniture and decorative accessories.
Come and find out the value of the treasures you have around your home. You could have valuables just sitting around. There will be a $5 fee for one item or $10 for three items.
The Poestenkill Historical Society will have historical publications for sale during the Antique Appraisal, including information on Barberville Falls. For information call Patricia at 518-283-5223.
