Dave Cleveland, Volunteer Coordinator for the Food Pantries of the Capital District, Inc. will be the keynote speaker at the HACA Volunteer and Community Partners Appreciation Brunch to be held on May 21 from 10 am to noon at the First United Presbyterian Church. Cleveland grew up on Long Island and graduated from Texas Christian University in 1971 with a double major in History and Political Science. He is a Retired Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Reserves, Medical Service Corps.

His career includes ten years of teaching and insurance sales, eight years of ownership of two fast food restaurants in the Schenectady area and 18 years with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He was the 1978-1983 Telethon Coordinator for Muscular Dystrophy in Utica, NY. Currently he serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Food Pantries, a key support organization for the HACA Food Pantry. Dave has been married to his wife Susi for 35 years. They have two sons, one in Manhattan and the other in Durham, CT.
