Friday, May 27 – Camping and Day Use Open Weekends at Cherry Plain State Park. The Park is open daily starting 4th of July to Labor Day. For camping reservations, visit www.reserveamerica.com. Swimming starts 4th of July weekend and runs through Labor Day.
Saturday, May 28 – Memorial Day Weekend at Grafton Lakes State Park. The beach opens for the season. The weekly beach schedule is Friday through Tuesday from 10 am to 6 pm.
Monday, May 30 – Memorial Day Sand Sculpture Contest. There will be prizes for all participants and multiple age categories. Sign up at 12 pm at the Beach Nature Center and build until 2 pm. Judging is from 2 to 3 pm. Show your creativity and your skill with sand on Long Pond Beach.
