Grafton Town Board Meeting Moved To Second Monday

May 27, 2011 By eastwickpress

Grafton Supervisor Tyler F. Sawyer announced that the monthly regular Grafton Town Board meeting will be held on the second Monday each month beginning this June with the exception of the month of October, when the meeting will be held on the first Monday because of the Columbus holiday on the second Monday.
Sawyer said that the main reason for the move was made in the hope that the reporting of the monthly meetings in the Eastwick Press would be published sooner for the residents of Grafton. He stated, “Right now, with the meetings taking place on a Thursday, the earliest our residents could possibly read about the meeting would be the following Friday, eight days after the fact. With this move, it could be possible that the report of the meeting could be read by our residents four days sooner.”
With the change, the following are the dates of the regular meetings for the remainder of 2011: June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 3, November 14 and December 12.  Budget workshops for the 2012 Budget will be announced at a later date.
