Graveside Service For William Wayne Wells

There will be a graveside service for William Wayne Wells on Saturday, May 21, at 1 pm at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hewitt Road, Petersburgh, NY. Rev. David Martin, pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, will lead the service. All family and friends are invited.
Born in 1920 in Petersburgh, Mr. Wells was the seventh of eight children and lived his childhood in Petersburgh. His oldest brother was the late C. Malden Wells, who wrote “Malden’s Memories” for the Eastwick Press several years ago. William Wells was a 1939 graduate of Hoosick Falls High School and married Elizabeth Babcock, also of Petersburgh, in 1943.
Mr. Wells died on February 2, 2011, at Resurrection Nursing Home, Castleton-on-Hudson, NY. His final resting place in Pleasant Valley Cemetery is alongside his parents, Clarence and Stella Wells, his sister Elinor and his brother Lyndall.
Surviving family members, in addition to his wife, include a son, Glenn Wells of Waterford, NY, and his wife Susan Milstrey Wells, a sister, Mary Cipperly of Hoosick Falls, NY, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
