Memorial Day is a special day for all Americans and particularly the courageous men and women in our Armed Forces.
With American troops fighting for our freedom abroad and the memories of September 11 unfaded in our minds, this Memorial Day assumes greater meaning. The tragic events of that day and the senseless loss of life should further remind our nation of the debt we owe to those who have served our country. Perhaps an expression of gratitude could be shown by our participation in the parade by placing a patriotic float or marching.
The Memorial Day Parade in the Village of Hoosick Falls will be on Monday, May 30. It is sponsored by the Hoosick Post #40 American Legion.
