Re-enactor and museum educator Stuart Lehman will appear as a Colonial Physician in a program on the theories and practices of 18th century medicine on Thursday, May 12, at 7:30 pm at the New Lebanon Library.
From herbs and medicines to bloodletting leeches and surgical tools, participants will be invited to learn the techniques used for healing during the 18th Century. Lehman brings a hands-on living history exhibit of the plants, medicines and implements used during the Colonial period.
This program, which was originally scheduled for March 10, is free and open to the public. The New Lebanon Library is located at 550 State Route 20, ¼ mile north of the yellow blinking light at the intersection of Routes 20/22.
