The Stephentown Senior Citizens enjoyed their first excursion of the year on Tuesday, April 26, with a trip to the Glen Falls House resort located in the town of Round Top in the northern Catskills. Following a short trek to view the Glen Falls and the spectacular Bridal Veil Falls, and after a wonderful home style meal of chicken or pork, the highlight of the day was a visit from Elvis.

According to host Rich Rosado, Elvis got tired of performing back in the 70s, faked his death and came to settle in the Catskills (sometimes using the name of Joe Eigo). He seems not to have aged a bit and was pleased to give a long and untiring performance that was thoroughly enjoyed by the Stephentown Seniors. Many of the ladies got hugs and teddy bears as well, and Hazel Dewey even got to dance with the King.
The Seniors are grateful to the Town of Stephentown and the Town Board for the support they receive that make these excursions possible.
