The Last Stephentown Extra Helpings

The ordering date for June bundles from the Extra Helpings Community Food Buying Club in Stephentown is Thursday, May 26, from 3:30 to 6 pm at the Stephentown Federated Church on Garfield Road. Because the Regional Food Bank is discontinuing the Extra Helpings program, this will be the last delivery.
The June choices are the $21 basic bundle which contains a 1.25 lb. turkey tenderloin, 1 lb. pkg. Canadian bacon, 3 lb. bag I.Q.F. boneless/skinless chicken breast, 1 lb. pkg. salmon burgers (four ¼ lb. burgers), 1 pint grape tomatoes and 1 pint fresh blueberries. The  Special #1 at $13.50 is a 5 lb. block of white American cheese.  Special #2 at $15.50 is a pasta box containing 18 oz. stuffed shells, 12 oz. sun dried tomato stuffed rigatoni, 12 oz. spinach stuffed rigatoni, 13 oz. large round ravioli, 16 oz. tricolor tortellini, 18 oz.  manicotti, 13 oz. pierogies with potato, Swiss and jack cheese and 2 (1 qt.) Casa Visco spaghetti sauce. The Meat Box at $32 contains a 2 lb. beef chuck pot roast, 3 lbs. I.Q.F. boneless/skinless chicken breast, 2 lbs. sweet Italian sausage rope (two 1 lb.), 3 lbs. pepper steaks (8/6 oz.), and 2 lbs. bulk breakfast sausage (4/8 oz. rolls).
Cash payment must be made when ordering.  The pick up date is Thursday, June 30, from 3:30 to 6 pm at the Stephentown Federated Church. You may have another person order or pick up your order, but any food not claimed during the pick-up hours will be donated to the food pantry.
