Albert H. Andrew

Berlin – Albert H. Andrew, 72, former resident of the Berlin, NY, area died on Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Born in Hoosick Falls, NY, on March 22, 1939, he was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Cottrell Andrew. A 1957 graduate of Hoosick Falls High School, Albert was raised in White Creek, NY, and moved to Berlin in the early 70s. He worked briefly for the Town of Petersburgh, NY. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Berlin for many years retiring in 2002. In retirement, he worked at Greene’s Farm in Cherry Plain, NY, until moving to Stillwater, NY, in 2008. Albert was a wonderful man, a hard worker, an animal lover and, above all, a devoted father and grandfather. He is pre-deceased by a sister, Pat Andrew.
Survivors include his children, Albert G. Andrew and Nicole Bedford of Berlin, Bill J. and wife Brenda Andrew of Stillwater and Sarah R. Andrew of Cropseyville, NY, his grandchildren, Courtney Andrew, John Browe, Damian Andrew, Shelly Andrew, Jacob Andrew and Dustin Andrew, and his former wife, Wanda Stanley Moon.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 16, at 2 pm in the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, 66 Armsby Road, Petersburgh, NY, 12138, where Rev. Matthew Olsen officiated. Interment followed in the Berlin Baptist Cemetery. Relatives and friends were invited to the funeral home on Thursday for visitation starting at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be sent to the funeral home to help them with funeral expenses.
